What are the Mini Challenges? What can I expect?

Our challenges are all designed to help you lose more body fat and to keep you engaged. We have three major categories; movement, mindfulness, and nutrition. You may see classic challenges like wall sit or plank for time. There will also be posting style challenges such as favorite recipes and personal roadblocks. Each challenge will be worth one point giving you additional ways to be the big winner.

How does this point system work?

We keep it simple. You will earn one point for each percentage of body fat lost and one point for each challenge you complete. The Winner is decided based on the most points earned. Historically we have had some winners who didn’t lose the most body fat and those who have. In other words, get the challenges done because it might make all the difference in the end.

Why six weeks?

Through trial and error we have found this length of time to be just right.

What is MyZone? Is it required?

MyZone is a fitness tracking system utilized at Snap Fitness. You may have noticed the big monitor with the colored tiles in our club. The system uses a belt that wraps around your chest and has a small device attached to it that streams information to an app on your phone and is displayed in club as well. Helpful information such as your heart rate is color coded by heart rate zone. MyZone also tracks calorie burn and gives you a beautiful colored graph at the end of your workout. Effort based MEPS are assigned to each workout. This device is one of the most accurate on the market at 99% ! We use the system in our programs to give you quick and easy methods to stay in the fat burn heart rate zone. We do require this device and we include the cost in our pricing. You will not need to pay for one separately.

What are Macros ?

We will teach all about it! Long story short it is a simple way to view what kinds of foods you eat. Foods are divided by Protein, Carbohydrate, Fats and total calories. Our Trainer Amanda will give each challenger macros customized to fit their goals.

What do you track weekly?

We track total weight, body fat percent, and we take several measurements of your body. We measure your arm, chest, waist, hips, thigh and calf. This is typically done once weekly with one of the coaches. This is to help determine if the macros are working for you and that you are on track.

I have diet restrictions, will I still be able to participate?

Yes!! We have had challengers that were vegan, vegetarian, keto and those who suffer from Celiac and other intestinal issues. We will do our best to help you meet your Marco needs while keeping the foods that serve you best.

Do I have to be a  member at Snap Fitness? 


Non- Members are welcome to join the competition and we will include a temporary membership for the duration of the challenge! We hope you love the club so much you will want to become a new member. 


Do you tell us what to eat ?


We love sharing recipes and helping our challengers figure out what to eat. We do not give out meal plans, instead we want to teach you how to eat better and how to build healthy meals for yourself and your families. These are the skills you will need to have long term sucess.


What happens on the FB page? 


Everything! This is the format we have found to be easiest for our shredders. The private fb page is where you will find all the challenges, helpful documents, coach tips and the support from others who have joined the competition. We have found there is more support and encouragement than competition. 


Who will be my coach? 


We divide the competitors up amongst our Coaches. Sometimes we do this live by taking turns spinning a wheel just for fun. The truth is that it doesn’t really matter which coach you get assigned. We are all available to help you. You can even post your question on our private page to welcome answers and tips from any of the other challengers. We most always have a few that have done this program a couple times and have loads of tips to help you along.
