Snap Fitness Franchise Year in Review

Another year is in the books for Snap Fitness. Our fitness franchise achievements and progress in 2022 would not be possible without the ONETEAM network which includes those on our corporate leadership team, franchise owners, members and other Snap Fitness supporters. Thank you to all of those who have contributed to the evolution of the Snap Fitness franchise and brand in the past year. Here’s a roundup of what we’ve accomplished this year:

Top International Franchise Brand Recognition

To begin 2022 off right, we introduced an updated gym prototype model in North America with the opening of our Annapolis, Maryland club. Owner of the club, Brad Callahan, is a seasoned investor having operational experience with other lifestyle-fitness concepts. Multi-unit owner, Jared Rodgers, opened his most recent club with this prototype in Warman, Saskatchewan in October of 2022. In addition to the club openings, Snap Fitness was awarded the “Best Fitness Franchise” award by Global Franchise. Our global CEO, Ty Menzies, attended the Global Franchise Awards in February in San Diego to accept the distinction for our international gym franchise.

Expanding Franchise Reach & Partnerships

Across the globe, our brand has opened 21 locations and will close out 2022 with 50 signed agreements. With new agreements in the pipeline, Snap Fitness looks forward to supporting our existing franchisee base as well as new owners joining the system in 2023. Apart from signed agreements, Snap Fitness also launched a meaningful brand partnership with NAMI to further support the advocacy, education and public awareness of those affected by mental illness. Our brand also launched the Earn Your Apple Watch program, solidifying our commitment in rewarding our members for their healthy lifestyle habits.

Top Fitness Franchise & Multi-Unit Growth

In the latter half of 2022, another multi-unit development deal was inked for our brand, with plans to bring at least three clubs to northern New Jersey and the Hamptons area in New York in the near future. In September, Snap Fitness was named as one of the best fitness franchises to start by Small Business Trends, citing the proven model, support and fitness demand as reasons to get into the fitness franchise industry.

New VP of Franchise Development for U.S. and Canada

Closing out the year, Snap Fitness was also named on the Franchise Times’ Top 500 list, putting our brand on yet another prestigious industry index. Stepping into 2023, out team will be bringing with us a new VP of Franchise Development for U.S. and Canada, Andi Ruth-Negrini. Ruth-Negrini brings with her over a decade of franchise knowledge and previously served as our brand’s Director of North American Franchising.
