Evolution Challenge Success Story: Randy C
Hi, I am Randy Canning. I’m 63 years old and I have been a member of Snap Fitness Cobblestone in Grande Prairie Alberta since May 2017, when I weighed in at 278 lbs.
In 1998, I had a stroke and subsequently a long hospitalization. It threw me into a fight for my mental health and I still fight to this day. After many years, I felt somewhat stabilized and still sought help from professionals and my family. Then, in June 2017 I lost my wife to cancer. Being a member of Snap Fitness has played a huge role in taking back my life and finding happiness within myself. I was anonymously gifted a MyZone belt from another gym member at the beginning of 2019 and I really enjoy how it pushes me through my workouts. I love seeing my MEP’s at the end of a solid gym visit, and I jumped at the chance to compete in the Evolution Challenge. This contest to me is not about money or prizes, its a feeling of accomplishment and knowing that, no matter how bad things can be, if you work at it, you will succeed and become stronger, healthier and have peace of mind. Going to Snap Fitness did this for me; the owner, Jayce, and his staff are wonderful, kind and caring. They’re always there to help me. I work hard in the gym and it has paid off; I have been at the top MEP earner for nearly the entire challenge! I now weigh in at 185 lbs and I feel pride in my 30” waistline. I feel better now than ever before. Being fit has made me able to enjoy life where it's at now. With my son and daughter and their spouses, and 6 beautiful grandchildren. Snap Fitness and the Evolution Challenge has absolutely changed my life!
