Snap Fitness is Re-Opening in a staged approach state by state

It’s been a tough few weeks, but we are excited to announce that all of our Snap Fitness Clubs will be opening soon on a State by State basis. See below for more information on your state.

Your health and safety will be our number one priority. Recently we have made some changes to ensure we deliver you the cleanest safest environment to workout in.

These measures include:

  • Robust internal Health and Safety plan to support our team, members and community on a state by state basis
  • Implemented increased cleaning procedures 
  • Practicing safe social distancing at all times
  • Arranged and adjusted equipment to enforce safe distancing 
  • Added additional self - cleaning stations 
  • Removed or disabled high-risk areas (for example – disabled water coolers, disabled fans and spaced out lockers)

Rules & Regulations

Key Principals:

Personal and community responsibility

  • Ensure you are following these principles in your daily life.
  • Encourage your family and friends to follow these principles in their daily life.
  • Take responsibility - it is only if the community work together that we will keep the NT safe.

Physical distancing

  • A minimum space of 1.5 meters is to be maintained at all time
  • The equipment has been arranged in line with distancing requirements

Hygiene principles

  • Avoid touching your face and cough and sneeze into a tissue or into your elbow.
  • Handwashing with soap and water for 20 seconds or use hand sanitiser before and after any contact with surfaces
  • Regularly cleaning and disinfecting surfaces that are high touch areas

ACT WILL RE-OPEN SATURDAY 30TH MAY

Indoor gyms and fitness centres can begin a gradual reintroduction of their businesses. Small, supervised group sessions and classes indoors can recommence, with a maximum of 20 people to an enclosed space or one person per four square metres.

Key deliverables:

  • All clubs will complete a COVID safe plan and submit to the ACT government for approval to re-open, to ensure we meet all health and safety requirements.
  • Strict hand hygiene and physical distancing requirements
  • Increased cleaning procedures
  • Equipment to be placed to meet safe distancing
  • Additional self-cleaning stations
  • Remove or disable high-risk areas (water coolers, fans, showers)

SOUTH AUSTRALIA WILL RE-OPEN MONDAY 1ST JUNE

As part of step 2 re-opening, there will be a 20 person maximum per room, with venues allowed to go up to a maximum of 80 people, provided they comply with the requirement of 1 person per four square metres. This does not include staff.

  • All clubs will complete a COVID safe plan and submit to the SA government for approval to open to ensure we meet all health and safety requirements.
  • Increased cleaning procedures
  • Safe physical distancing at all times
  • Equipment to be placed to meet safe distancing
  • Additional self-cleaning stations
  • Remove or disable high-risk areas (water coolers, fans, showers)

  • Western Australia – 18th May Mt Lawley & Geraldton Group Fitness only. TBC for the rest of our WA Clubs
  • South Australia 1th June
  • Queensland 12th June
  • Australian Capital Territory - 30th May
  • Victoria – 22th June
  • New South Wales -TBC

SNAP FITNESS REOPENING FAQ’S

Will I be safe to come back to the gym and workout?
Absolutely, we have adhered to all Government guidelines and have dramatically increased our cleaning and sanitization protocols. We will have separated or closed gym equipment to ensure effective social distancing, increased personal cleaning stations, and access to hand sanitiser, and increased our in-club cleaning.

Is Snap Fitness going to be following cleaning and social distancing guidelines?
Snap Fitness has implemented all cleaning and social distancing guidelines as per government recommendations. We have also invested in Mandatory staff training on Cleaning best practices for all of our team.

When am I getting billed?
Snap Fitness billing commences as per the original billing cycle of all members the day our doors open. If you are usually billed fortnightly on a Wednesday, that is unchanged. For exact billing dates please email or call your home club.

Is my membership still on freeze?
If you placed a FREEZE on your account prior to COVID19, please contact your home club via email, phone, or visit during staffed hours for confirmation about your current status. If you didn’t place a particular freeze on your account, your membership will now become active and you are able to use the club once we open.

Can I cancel my membership now the gym is open?
Yes, you may, we recommend getting in touch with your local Club Manager via email or pop into the club to discuss your options.

I got an email saying I owe money just before the gym closed, the links not working how can I pay?
Please visit your home club during staffed hours, call or email for more information.

I canceled just before you closed, do I need to pay a joining fee if I want to re-join?
Firstly, Welcome back! You will have access to our current offer, please contact your local club by phone or email to book an appointment to get your journey started again.

Can I continue to stay on freeze until I feel ready to come back?
Yes, please contact your home club via email if you need to stay on hold – you can find your clubs email address here:

Do I need to bring my own gym towel, or will one be supplied?
You will need to bring your own full-sized towel just like before. We do have Snap Fitness towels for sale from your club’s reception if you do need to purchase one.
