When joined Snap Fitness in 2011, I weighed 240 pounds and could barely see my own feet. I was extremely unhappy with my appearance and how I felt.
I signed up to work with a personal trainer a few times and was given a basic workout plan. I was also given better food options and started eating better quality foods while going to the gym nearly every day of the week.
I slowly started dropping weight and began to feel less depressed. I was feeling so good that I was able to stop taking antidepressants. I’ve stayed off them since then, and am a lot happier with myself.
As I started dropping weight, I became interested in weightlifting and have started gaining muscle.
I have been with Snap Fitness for four years and have been to many different locations around the Milwaukee area and around the United States. I have been extremely happy with how many locations are available.
I now weigh between 175-190 pounds depending on water and food intake for the week. I have found my “happy place” at the gym and am enjoying life! I am extremely lucky to have friends and family who support me, as well as other gym members I have asked for advice.
The past few years have been the best that I could have asked for, and I look forward to the future and what I can build with lifting.
