At the beginning of 2013, I was overweight and unhealthy. I wanted to make a change; not just for looks, but also because I want to live a long life. I didn't want to have knee, blood pressure and diabetes concerns. I used to make excuses and let things get in the way of my own personal health. Before I began working out at Snap Fitness, I was unable to jog at all. I could not do cardio for more than 10 minutes without feeling like the air was going to explode from my lungs. I decided to make a change and live a healthier lifestyle. I began a program called “Couch to 5k,” and completed the eight-week week program at Snap Fitness. Once I conquered that goal, I just kept going. I have now worked up to running a 5k several times each week and am improving my time each week. I have lost 42 pounds and I feel great. I have more confidence and really like the way I look! The staff at Snap Fitness has always been very helpful and encouraging. It's like a family when I go there and I plan to continue my journey with them!
