DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (July 2, 2015) — After making a huge splash during the Coca-Cola 600, Snap Fitness will have its American flag collage filled with thousands of club owners, personal trainers, and members featured on Landon Cassill’s No 40 car in the Coke Zero 400 Sunday, July 5.

CHARLOTTE (May 12, 2015) — With summer right around the corner, Landon Cassill announced that he will run 14 miles to the NASCAR Hall of Fame immediately after competing in the Coca-Cola 600 May 24 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway to inspire fans to get active with Snap Fitness and help support a worthy cause.

 

Between his run and NASCAR race during Memorial Day weekend, Cassill will log over 600 miles by car and foot that day with America’s Fitness Brand supporting him every step of the way.

Snap Fitness Signs Master Franchise Agreement for Spain

CHANHASSEN, Minn. (March 9, 2015) — Snap Fitness, the world’s premier 24/7 fitness brand, announced a master franchise agreement for Spain today with an aggressive plan to open 200 clubs over the next several years.

 

Albert Marco will serve as CEO of Snap Fitness Spain, with Dextra Corporate Advisors as investors and management advisers. Marco brings over 20 years of fitness and business experience to the helm, while Dextra is a Spanish mid-market M&A/private equity firm with over 30 years of experience.

 

“Signing a master franchise agreement is a big accomplishment. This team has the ability to influence an entire country with our proven concept,” Steele Smiley, Lift Brands chief officer responsible for franchise development, said. “After years of interest, we finally found the perfect team to lead Snap Fitness in Spain.”

Snap Fitness Donates $100K to Common Hope

CHANHASSEN, Minn. (Feb. 16, 2015) — Snap Fitness, America’s Fitness Brand that provides a world-class workout experience at an affordable price, recently presented Common Hope, a Minnesota-based charity, with a check for $100,000 at the 24/7 fitness franchise’s corporate headquarters.

 

The donation will go straight to helping children in Guatemala receive a quality education. Over the past four years, Snap Fitness Founder/CEO Peter Taunton’s philanthropic efforts with Common Hope have resulted in greatly improved classrooms and nearly 2,000 hours of mentoring to first grade students.

 

“There is no greater feeling than knowing you made a difference in someone’s life,” Snap Fitness Founder/CEO Peter Taunton said. “I’m proud to work with such a special group like Common Hope that is focused on helping others in need.”

 

Common Hope, founded in 1986, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote hope and opportunity in Guatemala, partnering with children, families and communities who want to participate in a process of development to improve their lives through education, health care and housing.

 

This marks the latest effort in the Snap Serves campaign, which was launched after Snap Fitness reached 300,000 Facebook likes at the end of January. To celebrate that impressive accomplishment, Snap Fitness pledged to match that number in hours of community involvement. This donation will go a long way in providing the resources needed for continued support with mentoring for the students in Guatemala.

Snap Fitness Pursues Aggressive Global Growth With New UK Master Development Agreement

Global club count set to increase 25 percent with UK deal and Snap Fitness India expansion

 

MINNEAPOLIS (Nov. 6, 2014) – Snap Fitness, the world’s leading 24/7 fitness franchise, today announced a master development agreement for the United Kingdom with TwentyTwoYards Ltd. The agreement is one element of the Lift Brands-owned company’s rapid international expansion; its Indian franchise partner recently announced plans to bring 300 new clubs to the second most-populous country in the world.

As indicated by the 2014 State of the UK Fitness Industry Report, the rapidly-growing low-cost market continues to drive the UK health and fitness industry’s growth. Year over year, the report found a 4.5 percent rise in the number of health club members. There are three Snap Fitness clubs currently operating and eight in development in the UK, but the TwentyTwoYards group plans on opening 250 locations over the next four years.
