Many ask me why i chose to open SNAP Fitness. The answer is that I wanted to give back. Weight loss has been life-long battle. Like most, i had confidence issues because of this. I was working at the government, making good money but I did not enjoy my work. Then in 2006 I suffered a terrible back injury. My doctor told me that i would not get better unless i lost some weight. I was 245 pounds. I knew I had to change, this was my wake up call.

I started working out and paying attention to my diet. Over the next 6 - 8 months, i lost 70 pounds. My life changed in many ways but the most important thing was... confidence. I felt so good, i thought that if I could do this, what else can i do?

Next step was to find something that i would enjoy doing. Since i was on a roll, i started thinking about sharing this with others. I found that SNAP Fitness were just starting to open clubs in Canada. I seized on the opportunity!

Two years later, we are an award winning gym known for a level of care and commitment to our members that is not normally seen in our industry. I could not be prouder.
