Julie Umel

Julie co-owns Snap Fitness of Old Orchard Beach with her husband Seth.  Her primary job is adminstrative.  However, she loves coming in to chat with members and hear about how they are progressing with their fitness goals.

Prior to running Snap Fitness, Julie was a stay at home mom.  She was also an elementary teacher for 6 years.  Although she misses teaching, Julie is excited about being a part of Snap Fitness.  She also teaches dance at Scarborough Dance Center one night a week. 

Julie has always been active and interested in wellness.  At the age of 3, Julie began to take dance classes.  Eventually, she became a teacher of dance in several studios.  Julie played soccer for several years as a child.  More recently, Julie was an instructor for Stroller Fit, an aerobics and strengthening classes for moms and their babies.  She now enjoys working out at Snap and running several times a week.

Julie is willing to do all she can to make your experience at Snap a good one. 

Justin Genschel

Justin was new to our staff in December of 2008.  He works at the desk and as a trainer.

Justin has Bachelor's of Science in Community Health from the University of Maine in Farmington.  He has minor concentrations in psychology and coaching.

Justin has had several years of experience in the health and fitness industry.  He has been both a fitness manager and a head personal trainer.  He has trained and conditioned soccer and hockey teams during the pre-season.  He has also implemented the Governor's Counsel on Health program to provide school children with the knowledge to live healthier lifestyles.  Justin has a passion for working with adolescents to develop team leadership skills through sports.

Justin has fitness interests that extend beyond the gym.  During his college years, Justin played on three consecutive conference champion men's soccer team.  He enjoys outdoor recreation.  He also owns a sports memorabilia company.

Justin is very friendly and approachable.  He has great passion for fitness and training.  His enthusiasm is contagious.  We are lucky to have him on staff.

Kerri Hodgkins

Kerri, a busy working mother of two, joined Snap of Old Orchard Beach at our grand opening in December of 2007.  She says, "Snap Fitness has made a big difference in my life. It is such a nice & welcoming atmosphere. The facitily & the staff are excellent! I have made new strides in my physical strength while making some great friends!"

James Duclos

Jim owns Saco Bay Web design here in Old Orchard Beach.  Since joining at our grand opening in December of 2007, he has been working out at Snap regularly.  He states,

Susan Miner

Susan Miner and her son have made fitness a family affair by working out together regularly.  Susan has made some INCREDIBLE progess in her journey to health and wellness since becoming a member.  Susan says, "It (Snap) is very convenient for me being open 24/7.  The prices are great.  The staff here are so inspirational to me.  They are so giving of their time.  They care about me, which is such a wonderful feeling."

Lynda Emery

Lynda, a busy mom and teacher, has been a dedicated member for a year now.  She states,' Snap Fintess in Old Orchard Beach has everything I need--it's open 24/7, the staff is terrific, the equipment is first class.  I can't think of a thing I would change!"

Steve Keach

Steve has been a member of Snap for a year now and has made significant strides in his fitness during that time.  He ran for  TEAM SNAP in the local 5k, "Run for Cash" last June.  "I really appreciate being able to work out in many ways at Snap.  They offer state-of-the-art treadmill, elliptical machines, stationary bikes, and resistance machine, as well as free weights.  The variety keeps my workouts from getting stale."

Don Radley

Local business owner and landlord, Don Radley, has been a member since we opened.  He has been working with our Fit Pro Heather Norris on a regular basis for much of that time.  He says, "I have been working out at Snap for a year with Heather, and at my age it has really put a lift in my step.  The experience, the staff, and the facility has been top notch.  Thanks for fixing some of my aches and pains!"
