Some may think by looking at me that I could not possibly understand their weight problems. I have struggled with weight issues and body image since childhood.  I wanted so badly to be thin. I tried every diet imaginable and all kinds of supplements, most that were not good for your body. I was so consumed by being thin that in my teenage years I was hospitalized for anorexia. I had starved myself for fourteen weeks thinking I could obtain the perfect weight. No matter how much I lost, it was never enough. I had no muscle tone, was extremely weak, and still did not feel good about myself. In treatment I learned about balancing cardiovascular exercise, resistance training, proper nutrition, and core supplements.

Even though I learned what I should be doing to maintain a healthy lifestyle, it was hard for me to fully dedicate myself to change, and I did not have the guidence I needed, once I finished treatment. 

Working at Delano Snap Fitness is not my first career. I was formerly a police officer for 14 years, with various agencies and assignments. As a use of force and firearms instructor I got in better shape. Approximately five years ago when I started training for a K-9 position I started running.  I had never run before and it was the last form of exercise I would choose for cardiovascular training. I got hooked on running by the third week of training.

I have been running ever since. I currently run between five and fiveteen miles, six days a week. Approximately six months ago I began the switch over to barefoot running, for the benefit of less stress on my body and joints. I balance running with resistance training three days a week, and yoga practice to keep my core strong. Three years ago I took all the nutrition and supplement knowledge I had gained over the years and put it to the test. I started eating every three hours combining a balance of protein, fats, and carbohydrates. My weight problems went away and I didn't have to worry any longer about gaining weight.

This is when I started thinking about a career in the fitness industry. I thought it would be a great opportunity to take my fitness passion and energy, and share my experience with others that are struggling. I want others to find the freedom and hapiness I have found, by learning what the body needs. I want everyone to suceed and that comes through cardiovascular training, resistance training, proper nutrition, core supplements, and guidance. I have surpassed my fitness goals through the Advocare line of supplements that we carry at Delano Snap Fitness. Since I started taking the products I have lost an additional 7% body fat and have more energy than I thought imaginable. The supplements are great because I know they are 100% safe and natural. This low-priced introductory package is for members who want help getting started on a plan.

We'll teach you the basics of cardio, strength and flexibility in two 25-minute one-on-one sessions. Then, you'll have two follow-up opportunities with your Fit Pro to check your progress, get answers to your questions and tweak your workouts.

Whether your goal is to lose weight, tone up, build endurance or recover quicker from injury, partnering with a Fit Pro will help you get the most from your workouts and achieve noticeable results faster.
