Gregory Hines

Gregory Hines

Gregory started out as a member and was one of the first members to join our gym when we opened back in 2008.  He is very dedicated to working out and found success in a routine that allowed him to lose over 60 lbs and he has maintained his weight loss.  He was at the gym nearly every day so we approached him to see if he would be interested in helping manage our office.  We are happy to say he decided to take us up on our offer!  Gregory is looking forward to helping you obtain a membership, service an existing membership, or answer your questions about fitness and exercise.  He is also studying to obtain his Personal Training Certification.  It is a real pleasure to have Gregory, Assistant Manager, as part of the Snap family.

Amanda Zimmerman Holley

Amanda started her weight loss journey one year ago.  At that time, she began tracking her daily food intake using Weight Watchers Online and adding exercise into her daily life.  Amanda never thought she could run because of her weight, so she avoided it for quite some time.  However, this past summer, she picked up the hobby and shortly fell in love with it.  By the end of October Amanda had lost 80 pounds!!!

As the cold weather set in, Amanda found herself a home here with us at Snap Fitness Madison.  Since joining, she states that she has found new levels of strength within herself and broken through emotional baggage.

On January 12th 2011, Amanda announced to us that she hit her 100 pound weight loss goal!!!

Please join us in congratulating Amanda on her weight loss achievements!

Elaine Martin

In preparation for my wedding this past July, I wanted to look my best so I dedicated myself to the gym and developed healthy habits for myself.

My initial goal was just to lose weight, but after I started some personal training, it became more about developing healthy habits and toning my body.  In the 6 months prior to my wedding, I worked out 5-6 days a week combining cardio and strength training.   For cardio, I would run on a hill program on the treadmill or do speed intervals.  I combined full-body strength training with cardio 2-3 times a week.

When I had been working out in the past, I mostly focused on cardio but never really saw the results I was looking for.  By combining the strength training with the cardio, I was able to reshape my body and see results faster than I ever had before.  I felt more confident using the strength equipment and was able to vary my routine which led to better results.  In addition to personal training and my own workouts, I participated in the Snap fitness challenges and boot camps to give myself an extra challenge and motivation to reach my goal of losing weight and toning up for my wedding.

By the end of the six months, I felt stronger, looked fit, and had reshaped my body.  I lost 15 pounds, but the most important thing for me was the sense of confidence I gained from staying committed to my goals and pushing myself to try new things.   There are times that I am not able to stay true to my workouts now, but the training I did in preparation for the wedding will always be a reminder of what I am capable of doing and how I can get myself back on track.

Mary Russell

Mary joined Snap Fitness in the Fall of 2008 because of the flexible hours and the close proximity to her home.  Since joining, she has been an active participant in group exercise classes, boot camps, personal training, and extensive cardio workouts in preparation for a 1/2 marathon (May 2009) and several sprint triathlons (summer of 2010).  Mary is highly motivated and always looking to improve her overall fitness/health.  Mary's goal for 2011 is to run the Madison Marathon.  In her leisure time, Mary enjoys sand volleyball, watching college sports, traveling, camping, and kayaking.

Dave Warner

Dave joined Snap Fitness in January of 2010, with the goals of losing weight and lowering his blood pressure.  Since January, he has done this and more!   In his free time, Dave enjoys biking and camping.  Dave says that he was surprised to see how much money he could save by biking to work instead of driving.  The distance from his home to work is 5 miles, however Dave often finds himself taking the long route around the lake home instead.   Joining Dave at Snap Fitness is his wife Dawn Warner.

Tynan Neale

After being recommended by a friend, Tynan joined Snap Fitness in January of 2010.  Prior to starting his membership at Snap, Tynan states he had never worked out "seriously" before.   These days, Tynan can be found at the club most days of the week.  To him working out is meditative.   His current fitness goals are to continue increasing his muscle mass and improve his overall health. Tynan is currently finishing school at MATC and hopes to transfer to UW Madison upon graduating.  At this time his major is undecided.  In his free time, Tynan enjoys playing basketball and soccer.
