As a certified athletic trainer, I regularly uses education to help my athletes understand what is going on to help them return and get stronger as quick as possible.  I believe if I can teach you about your injury or why we are training a certain way, then it is easier to engage and maintain your program.  As an athletic trainer, I engage my athletes in exercises that are demanding, yet help maintain safety and provide protection to weak joints.  As a personal trainer, I incorporate these principles to help guide and challenge each individual to reach their personal goals and continue to take control of their life.

I have trained individuals at both the high school and collegiate level. I have been in charge of designing and developing programs from, individual sessions, boot camps, cardio programs, spin classes, as well as aquatic aerobics, endurance swims, and plyometric training.  In addition to designing various programs, I have also been in charge of designing a new weight and fitness center and implementing scheduling and monitoring. 

Joe holds a master's degree in Athletic Training from West VirginiaUniversitywhere he completed his thesis on Aquatic vs Land Plyometric Training.  Joe also holds a bachelor's degree in Health Science with a concentration in Athletic Training from Lock Haven University of Pa.  
He is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Performance Enhancement Specialist.
