Meet the Owners: Dan and Rosemary Beahan

Dan and Rosemary, former Michigan residents, have lived in Florida for 8 years. Both have a background in sports marketing, having worked on the Indy Car circuit for a major sponsor for 8 seasons. Dan divides his time between the Hobe Sound club and their new location in Jensen Beach. Rosemary divides her time between the Clubs and her job as Director of Religious Education at their church in Royal Palm Beach.

Their goal is to provide the best, friendliest, most convenient and most affordable fitness experience to all of their new friends in Hobe Sound and South Stuart. Come on in and meet the owners for a quick 5-minute tour!

Jim Roach

Jim, our December "Featured Member" has joined us as your part-time manager on Tuesdays from 3:00-7:00 PM. Jim and his wife Susie have been members since the Club opened. In fact, he was working out the day the doors opened. He really has been with us since the beginning!

Jim will be welcoming new members and managing your Club once a week as Dan and Rosemary begin planning their next Snap Fitness club in the area. Welcome to the team, Jim!

Joe Melcarski

Joe and his wife Kathy are members and now Joe has joined us as a Manager 4 days a week. Joe is taking over Dan's responsibilities while Dan opens our new Jensen Beach location.

Joe is a real fitness buff and has always dreamed of opening his own gym. Working with us here at Snap he can get a taste of the excitement, fun, and challenge of running his own Club.

Joe lives just a stone's throw away from the Club and if there is ever an emergency or someone needs a special appointment to sign up, either he or Jim Roach, our other manager, can be here in minutes.

Jim Roach

We’ve got lots on interesting members, but charter member Jim Roach is among the most. A retired Connecticut State Police Sergeant, Jim enjoys a good workout. “Fitness is important, especially as we get older. I ride my bike a lot”, he says, “sometimes 25 or 30 miles a day. Having our own Snap Fitness right in the neighborhood makes working out even easier.” Jim says he enjoys not only the convenient location, but the ability to work out any time of day or night. Thanks, Jim. Glad to have you as a member!

Phil and Cathy Schwalje

Phil and Cathy Schwalje are two of our Charter members. Phil and Cathy are in the Club 3-4 times a week, as Phil says, "Working off the week-long cruise" they took in January. Phils says "It's nice to have someplace so convenient...practically at our front door...where we can go together and get a good workout as often as we want."

Phil and Cathy have also referred a number of their friends to the club making it even a more fun place to be for everyone.

Patrick Ward

Pat is one of the most familiar faces in the Club. His enthusiam is both entertaining and contagious, and for good reason! Between when Pat joined on January 7 of this year and March 15, Pat has lost 35 pounds! He attributes his success to both his commitment to his exercise regimen and taking responsibility for his diet and overall health.

"I just love it here" Pat says. "Everybody at work wonders how I'm doing it, and I tell them the secret is commitment. Having access to a gym this nice and this convenient makes that commitment even easier!"

Relay for Life Team Snap

Members of the Hobe Sound Snap Fitness Club joined in the fun and excitement of the Amercan Cancer Society "Relay for Life" at the Pines School in Hobe Sound on April 18-19.

Over the course of the 18-hour relay, 12 club members took turns walking the course and raising money for this important cause.

The club was also the sponsor of the "luminaria" sign, a candle-lit reminder of the importance of Hope in the fight against cancer.

Rosemary and Dan want to thank all of the participating and contributing members for your generous contribution of time, talent and treasure. We have the best club members anywhere!
