Marc Penso has been a member of Snap Fitness since February 2014 when he decided he needed to make a change in his life. Since then he has been coming to the gym consistently 5-6x per week and he has lost 79 lbs!

What motivated him to make a change? Before he began working out, Marc always felt  short of breath. He had trouble walking up stairs. His weight always fluctuated in the past, but it had never been as high as 304 lbs, which it was when he joined Snap Fitness.

How did he do it? Marc worked out with a friend who coached him a bit and showed him exercises that would be effective for him. Marc’s routine involves coming to the gym and using a combination of the treadmill and rowing machine for cardio. He also uses the cybex strength training circuit for upper body.

What has changed? Having lost the weight, Marc feels a lot better physically and energetically. Marc suffers from diabetes, and a great accomplishment has been that he has reduced the number of insulin shots he needs to take down from 4 to 1!

Marc is a veteran of the US Navy, he studied at Sarasota County Tech Inst, and now works at Riverside Industries.

How would you describe Snap Fitness Easthampton? I can come anytime I want. It’s a laid-back atmosphere and they have AC!
