Mel Ambros has been a member of Snap Fitness since September 2012.Since then she has been coming to the gym very consistently 3x-4x per week. She has lost three sizes, and over 50 lbs and counting!
What kept her motivated? She says it is her family. Last year she and her daughter started a friendly competition based on how many times per week they each worked out. Now Mel is expecting a grandchild and is more motivated than ever to keep in shape.
How did she do it? Mel took advantage of her free Cybex strength orientation during her first month at Snap Fitness. Since then she has stuck to a steady weight training routine to increase her metabolism. She also took advantage of her free fitness assessment where she learned her basal metabolic rate. This helped her to stay on track with her nutrition plan. Between workout sessions at the gym, Mel will speed-walk around Easthampton.
What’s her advice to others? If you are trying to make a transformation, keep a positive attitude and not to focus too much on how much you weigh. Focusing on inches instead helped her stay motivated and healthy. Her doctor was thrilled that Mel has cut her blood pressure in half and drastically reduced her cholesterol level! Mel owns Benoit Dismantlers and removes heating systems, so she has found that her strength is much improved.
