We are very pleased to announce our newest featured member, Kathy Werley. Since joining Snap Fitness in February 2012 Kathy has become one of our most active members and, most importantly, she continues to achieve the results she seeks from her fitness/exercise program.
Snap Fitness is the first fitness club Kathy has joined. Though she had been very active physically in her high school and college days, those activities had taken a backseat to her dual focus of raising a family with her husband and taking on increasing responsibilities in her business career. Having reached a point in her life where she was just “physically feeling bad” and also at her heaviest weight; she decided to remedy the situation. One of her tactics was to join a gym and we are pleased she chose Snap!
Kathy understands that being personally accountable is very important. Initially, she tracked her progress regularly on her workout card and has done multiple Fitness Score Sessions with our personal trainers. Using this feedback she combines both cardiovascular workouts (the Arc Trainer is a favorite) and resistance/weight training to accomplish her goals. The recent completion of three 5K runs is evidence of her success.
Kathy does a significant amount of travel in her job and reports that she always tries to stay at a hotel with a fitness center. She also understands the importance of nutrition in her fitness regimen and pays particular attention to how she eats while on the road. Because Kathy travels 30% to 40% of the time on business, Kathy’s husband is the primary cook at home. Also, because she does enjoy the healthy and tasty meals he prepares, Kathy mentions she must maintain a focus on portion control.
Kathy is a self-described “morning person” and you will see her around the club most days when she is not traveling. Besides her individual workouts Kathy often joins with other members in our Small Group Fitness Sessions, Boot Camp and Yoga.

At Snap Fitness we are all about helping our members get "results" and will give you the support you need to meet your fitness goals. Each new membership includes a Free Score Session (this gives you a baseline to measure your future progress) and a Free Basic 8 Fitness Session (an orientation to the equipment to get you off to a great start.) We are committed to your fitness success throughout the year, but especially getting started or re-started.
For our current members, if you have not had a "fitness score session" with one of our talented personal trainers in the past few months please speak with any staff member to schedule this important session. This fitness score session will give each member a base line to help you increase your probability of success in achieving your goals. Update your Fitness Score if you have not done so recently.

Just a reminder about our group exercise classes...
We now have Fitness On Demand available 24/7 for each of our members. There is a wide variety of video exercise classes that a member can select depending on her or his interests and exercise goals. Many members are using these exercise videos along with an exercise "buddy" that makes the workout both productive and fun. We also have added instructor-led group exercise classes (a small per class fee is charged to compensate the instructor) including Yoga, Zumba anda higher intensity activity, Tabata. These group exercise classes are proving popular among our members.
To accelerate your results achievement we recommend that you add workouts with one of our talented personal trainers, Bob Kauffman, Teresa Conley, Adam Schanely or Alicia Kofke.
