Tina Marzano

Hi, I'm Tina. I used to be a couch potato until several years ago. My husband had a "health issue" which served as our wake-up call.

Although I had already been eating pretty healthy I put much more effort into nutrition and cooking healthier meals. I even met with a wonderful nutritionist, who helped me greatly.

I have had wonderful results as a result of adding a consistent workout program to my life and even took it one step further by working out with our Fit Pro, Matt Wood for the last 3 years. I have lost weight, reduced my body fat and increased my muscle mass substantially.  I no longer have chronic back pain which plagued me for most of my life and I feel great!

Now I want to help all those people who are like I used to be......either afraid of looking foolish at a gym, or not sure of how to start, or just plain lazy. I'm now passionate about wellness and I'm committed to living a longer and healthier life.

 I'd like to help you do the same. I'm very excited about owning the Gansevoort, NY Snap Fitness Club. My husband Jim and I as well as our talented and credentialed Fitness Professionals and staff members are here to help you reach your health and wellness goals!!!! 

 

Rachel Varney

Mission

My interest in personal Health and Fitness has created a passion for helping others with their wellness goals.  I am an athlete as well as a recent graduate from SUNY Plattsburgh with a degree in Sociology and a minor in Athletic Coaching.  I am pursuing my Associates Degree in Nursing RN from SUNY Adirondack, and I am looking forward to gaining experience here at Snap Fitness and sharing my knowledge and passion with others.  I am here to make members feel more comfortable with their gym surroundings and assist them in understanding their fitness level.  I am always ready and willing to answer any questions so please don’t be shy!

My Mission:

I’m very passionate about life and am a very approachable and out-going person. I love trying new things and my experiences as an athlete have helped in making me a very perseverant and driven person. I hope to provide as much assistance to gym members as I can and plan to make the members as comfortable as possible with a smile and a helping hand.

Hawai`i Pacific University-Attended from 2008-2009

Currently in third year of pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree inPsychology.

Certified in Adult, Child and Infant CPR/AED

Certified in First Aid

“As truth will have it, I was a total mess before discovering Snap Fitness.  A few months before joining, I underwent knee replacement surgery, and my physical therapy sessions had ended.  What to do, what to do?  I had shed some pounds during PT, and I feared that they would just find themselves clothing me again. 

 

I overheard a conversation about Snap Fitness and its safe 24/7 operation.  I decided to check the joint out.  

 

 The location, the safeness and cleanliness of the gym itself, and the extremely reasonable package rate/s without contract, were what I originally set out to bargain for.  What lured me into joining, however, was the encouragement and confidence that I received from the owners and staff. 

 

 

While enjoying this new-found freedom to exercise at my own pace, my clothing testifies that I've lost a total of six dress sizes, and eight pant sizes.  I'm not embarrassed to say that I went from a size 16/18 to a size 4/6. My own physicians both primary and specialists, had not recognized me when I returned for my six-month follow ups. 

 

 I bear witness everyday to the confidence on everyone's face, including my own. Whether one is young, old, out-of-shape, or maintaining their healthy lifestyle with Snap Fitness, there becomes camaraderie which  envelopes encouragement and understanding of each other’s needs in this epitome of gyms.    My confidence has been restored.  I like this new me!
