Ed is a proud owner of two Snap Fitness locations. When he opened his first location, Ringwood, NJ, over five years ago, it only took six months to have enough members to break-even. His second club, Stony Point, NY, opened a year later, which quickly became successful as well.
Both clubs attract members of all ages who want a great cardio and strength workout in a non-intimidating, crowd-free environment. The size of the two locations are much more roomier than what their competitors offer. Ed said keeping his clubs “ridiculously clean” and maintaining updated equipment is key to running successful clubs.
He researches what his nearby competitors don’t offer and then implements those missing pieces into his clubs to stand out. “It’s critical to know your competition and create a definable competitive advantage,” Ed said. He makes sure to have excellent strength training equipment available, especially because he found that member who strength train are more loyal than cardio-only members.
Aside from providing excellent service in his clubs, Ed and his staff have been making an impact in their community. “We are very involved in town organizations and clubs with donations and free passes,” said Ed. Getting involved in the community and being active on Facebook have proven to be effective marketing strategies to build awareness around the two clubs.
“I’m extremely proud of the members who have literally turned their lives around because of Snap Fitness,” said Ed. We are proud of Ed for representing what #SnapNation is all about!
