Fitness:
Get fit for the warmer weather! Feel confident when you walk out on the beach. :) Snap provides the guidance you need in order to see the benefits of working out.
Challenge yourself! Try coming to the gym at least 4 to 5 times a week!!! The Snap Team says, "STRIVE FOR FIVE." If you walk a lot, try running one mile. If you run, try switching it up with the ellipticals or bikes. You can also change the elevation or do sprints to make the run worth while! You burn more calories while switching up your routine.
**Try not eating anything 3 hours before bed!!!**
H20 is the way to go...drinking water before meals and all day long will make you feel full!
Using these strategies will not only invigorate you to go farther, but you can increase your fitness by getting a better workout each day.
Nutrition:
Many of us spend a lot of time in the sunshine during the summer months, but do not realize the effect it has on our bodies. There are certain foods that encourage healthy summer beauty. During these warm months, our skin tends to dry out and undergo damage. We sweat more in the summer and spend more time in salt and chlorine waters. Some foods that aid our bodies in replenishing fluids from water loss are: raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries.
Protein can also help in repairing damaged skin. Lean meats, beans, nuts, and seeds are good sources.
With the sun, we also can damage our hair. Some foods that will help with your dry hair: burgers, shrimp kabobs, and three bean salad. Hair consists of protein fibers, so any foods rich in protein will help! Eat yogurt (B-5), cooked eggs (Vitamin B), beans (folic acid), milk (calcium), and fish (zinc) keep your hair shiny and healthy as well!!!
So next time you go on that picnic, pack these nutritious foods to stay on track.
