Jen Bracco, Fitness Manager

Jen is the PM Manager here at Snap in Derby!

I graduated in Dec '08 from Buffalo State College with an Early Childhood Education Degree.  For now, I am a substitute teacher at Lake Shore Schools!  I am in the process of earning my Personal Trainer Certification so I can start whipping people into better shape. 

I am usually always at the gym either working out or cleaning!!  Stop by and see what Snap has to offer for you! It's a privilege to be apart of a great club that is fast, convenient and affordable!!!

Bill Barrett says…

            Is anyone looking to get back their physical and mental health in less than 5 hours a week?  I must say it can be done.

 

            I have always been casually athletic my whole life, played sports in high school, pick up games here and there in college.  Then, my kids and my own business took over.  I would still run once a week, do yoga, push ups, etc, but I have a hard time keeping up with the gym.  When my membership ran out, I did not resign and it had been over a year since I touched a weight.  Even with a membership I could find all the excuses anyone would use.  Excuses like, the kids, meetings, dinner with the family or client, gym is closed, or can’t fit it in.  Frankly, I did not want to go back to a gym unless I was ready to go hard core into the weights.

            Snap Fitness in Derby is less then 5 minutes from my house.  It is always open, has a good mix of people and great owners.  Beth and Bill really want to make it work for you and they are responsive to suggestions.  They even put up an extra clock for me so I can time my work outs minute by minute.  The program includes three days of weight training that is less than 45 minutes each.  Then three days of 20 minutes cardio exercises.  The last time I did this program I would find myself rushing out of the office to make the gym in time.  Now, if I have to finish a call or go home to see the family I can first, then run out for an hours to hit the gym.  Better yet, I can hit the weights and then come home and shower before I have to go to work.

            Started September 30^th 5’5” and 168 lbs with plenty of body fat.  As of October 31^st, I am 164 and down two belt loops.  My body is much tighter with some body fat, but feeling healthy, strong, and balanced!

Tim and Mary Jo Hacker

Tim & Mary Jo Hacker have been members of SNAP fitness since we opened in September.  This husband and wife team are workout buddies. They make sure to encourage one another to get to the gym.  They can be seen most afternoons working out. Both Tim and Mary Jo say the feel better since joining the gym, have lost weight and toned up.  Keep up the good work!

Vinny

Vinny is a young, athletic guy who enjoys working out at Snap Fitness.  You can find him at Snap during the evening on most days during the week!  He plans on becoming a body builder.  And one way to reach that goal is to work real hard at Snap!

TEAM SNAP!

Snap Fitness in Derby volunteered to take on the Torch Race in September 2008 for Special Olympics. Team Snap rode 10 miles to support the special olympics! Congrats to everyone who finished!  It was a great experience, and Team Snap will definitely race again!!!
