Sarah helped me take control of my weight issues when I felt it was hopeless. I had no energy & no interest in exercising but I knew that losing weight was the single most important thing I could do to improve my health. When I went to Snap Fitness Sarah was there to sign me up & mentioned that it was an option to work with a personal trainer. After considering the cost versus my future quality of life, I signed up with her.
What a difference working with Sarah made in my progress! First of all, I was committed to actually showing up. Everything was personalized & took into consideration all the personal health issues that I had going on in my life. Sarah consulted with a doctor & did research to modify my program to make things work best for me. Not only did she plan my workouts but advised me on my food intake. After 3 mos I've made great progress & finally feel there is hope that I can win my battle with weight. Sarah has given me the tools to keep on going. My doctor is thrilled with my weight loss & the improvements its made in my health in such a short time(blood pressure, cholesterol, & joint problems). I've been able to decrease my meds, I have energy again, and I feel great. It's all because Sarah knew how to get me moving, pushed me to do more, advised me on what to eat (or not to eat!) and kept giving me pep talks that this was all going to work. Working with her has changed my life in the most positive ways. After about 3 training sessions with Sarah, I already noticed a difference in how I felt. I felt thinner; my muscles felt tighter – in a good way. I was amazed how quickly I noticed a difference. After a couple more sessions, my clothes were feeling looser. It was great. I wasn’t feeling as bad anymore about wearing shorts or a swimsuit this summer as I felt better about what I was seeing in the mirror - - after only a month! In addition to the workouts, Sarah asked me to keep a journal of my diet and made suggestions of what to eat & not to eat as well as total calories to consume per day. I definitely think the suggestions she made for my nutrition and diet have also helped in obtaining the results I’ve seen. I feel like a healthier person due to the change in what I consume on a daily basis.
When Sarah measured me at the last training session, I was excited to hear I had lost several inches and it was nice to know I was probably losing fat for added muscle. The feeling that I had gotten thinner was confirmed by the measurements. I am 48 yrs old & my entire life I was overweight. Eight mos. ago I was diagnosed with type2 diabetes & high cholesterol. My blood sugars were 380, cholesterol 368, & triglycerides 765. I also weighed 210 lbs.
When I found this out I got orders from my doctor to exercise, change my diet, & plan on taking medication. My condition was so bad that they medicated me as though I'd already had a heart attack. I started eating better & began walking every day. Although I felt better, I was not getting the results I wanted or needed. I know Sarah through my youngest daughter, and when I told her about my condition she convinced me to let her help. I have been to gyms before & never felt comfortable. Sarah changed all that. My trust in her allowed me to push myself further than I ever felt possible.
Every session with Sarah was different & never boring. I never had anybody put so much effort into focusing on me. She did research with doctors & dietitians for my condition & devised a plan that in 4 mos. gave me the following results: My weight dropped from 210 lbs to 157 lbs, body fat from 35.6% to 28%,& I lost 27"; blood sugars 380 to 110 (normal), cholesterol 368 to 108, triglycerides 765 to 398.
If it wasn't for the motivation & confidence that Sarah gave me I wouldn't be where I am today. She's more than just a trainer. She's my friend & my angel.

As a 48 year old mother of five I had been faithfully exercising for five days a week since I was 18 years old. But age and motherhood had taken its toll. I am a 50+ woman who came to Sarah with a very specific request and goal in mind.  This was my first experience having a personal trainer & Sarah was very thorough in her assessment of my capabilities.  
My purpose for coming to her was to develop the body strength to pass a physical test necessary to secure a job with the company my husband is employed with.
Sarah had her work cut out for her.  
She designed a program for me that I would use when I came to the gym on my own & I met with her twice a week to train. Also, she simulated the actual test so nothing would surprise me when I went to test.  
Sarah was always patient and a source of encouragement for me, & watched me closely during my sessions with her for signs of physical distress. I felt that my time with her was solely focused on me and I could trust that I wouldn't hurt myself. I only had a time frame of about 2 months & she worked me hard. Almost every day I came to the gym for a workout & could feel myself becoming stronger.  
Sarah also suggested that I maintain a food journal. She explained the importance of different foods & it wasn't my goal to lose weight, but I did by being more selective in my food choices.  I eventually lost 20 lbs, what a bonus that was for the effort!
When I would start to give up on anything Sarah wanted me to do, she would encourage me to go a little further.  I am happy to say that I passed my test. Sarah taught me to believe in myself and my abilities. She wouldn't let me give up, and I am more physically fit now than I have been in years.

Sarah made my exercise routine fun with changes and by pushing me to do a bit more.  She challenged me, and I have made great personal gains because of her ever watchful eye over my exercise routine. I was never over-exercised to the point of having pain or exhaustion, which I think is essential in an exercise program. She also monitored my dietary intake and gave me dietary counseling which I found very helpful.
