After turning 30 and being over weight all my life, i made the decision that if I was ever going to get in shape, now was the time to get started. It was on June 8th, 2010 when I finally followed through on my weight loss program and signed up for a membership at Ashtabula Snap Fitness. Right from the start, I knew I wanted to have a personal trainer get me on the fast track to my weight loss goals. We set up a once a week, hour long personal training session with fitness professional Tiffany Meyer.

It wasn't easy starting out! Tiffany had to show me ho to work my way up from being a couch potato to being capable of five and 10 kilometer runs, and from lifting Twinkies and Ho-Ho's to lifting some solid weight using barbells, dumbbells and cables. Week after week, Tiffany would check in with me and see what kind of food I was eating. It took a while, but she helped me figure out healthier choices for foods. It was one step at a time. I would introduce one new food here, and a few weeks later i'd introduce another new food there. Before I knew it, I cut out a lot of fat from my diet and increased my protein intake considerably.

Nine months later, I have lost 125ounds, taking my 39% bodyfat ratio down to 14%. My pant size has been reduced from a 44 to a 34, and I no longer need to shop for big and tall shirts! Losing all this weight and putting on the muscle has given me tons of energy. I'm unstoppable now.
